Our principal, Thomas, has many years’ experience in design, development and creation of detailing to enable buildability. Buildability is an aspect of interpretation of design detailing which creates viable solutions to the process and logistics that get building works underway yet are dependent upon the practical logistics of having that work done.
This creates opportunities for other design professionals, structural engineers, architects and environmental engineering designers to draw on our knowledge when developing their work. We work with multi-disciplinary design teams to bring synergy far better than crude cost engineering. We invite enquiries, therefore, from development principals, their advisors, those with financial and equitable interests in building construction and development design management, to engage with us. Engaging us early in projects secures potential for savings that otherwise would be opaque and, if not captured in a timely manner and early on, will not crystallise. We have expertise to provide support and have directly been involved in projects such as five-star hotels; Local Authority asset management and maintenance programmes; volume house building development; procurement of land through to client facing residential owners’ completions; infrastructure including drainage, utilities and the management of archaeological dig integration on major highways projects; renovation of listed structures and work in conservation areas.
